With the launch of our new website comes the exciting launch of our own blog – SMART Thinking – where we will provide our expertise on the enterprise storage industry, as well as hear from others who share our passion for SSDs. Our blog serves as a platform for announcing company news, discussing our thoughts on the future of storage, and breaking down any current storage issues.
SMART Storage Systems began as a division of SMART Modular Technologies, a leading flash and memory module manufacturer with a rich 23-year history in the industry. As a member of the SMART family of companies, we have strong roots in both flash and enterprise storage. Our management team has shaped the enterprise storage market, anticipating the advanced feature sets required by increasing data and evolving enterprise needs for a combined six decades.
To give you a variety of perspectives on enterprise storage, I’m happy to introduce SMART Thinking’s other key contributors, including SMART Storage Principal Engineer, Jim Fitzpatrick, Vice President and Chief Technical Officer of the Storage Business Unit, Bernie Rub, and Director of SSD Technical Marketing, Esther Spanjer. Each contributor possesses considerable industry experience and is eager to provide insight on the world of enterprise storage. I’ll keep you updated on company announcements, industry forecasts, and major changes in enterprise storage; Jim and Bernie will give you a more in depth look at our product line; and Esther will cover products, as well as provide a recap on conferences and loop you into how we’re reaching a larger audience through online efforts, such as these.
